Joy’s Easy Banana Bread
This recipe was borrowed from one of my favorite sites, AllRecipes.com.
Prep Time: 15 minutes Cook Time: 1 hour
Ingredients:
3 ripe bananas, mashed
1 cup white sugar
¼ cup melted butter
1 egg
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
Directions:
Gather all ingredients, preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan. (I use butter to grease the pan because it makes a nice crunchy crust on the outside of the bread as it bakes.)
Combine bananas, sugar, butter and egg in a bowl. Whisk flour and baking soda together in a separate bowl; stir into banana mixture until batter is just mixed.
Stir in salt; transfer batter to the prepared loaf pan.
Bake in a preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 1 hour. (I have baked for 1 hour and it’s the perfect amount of time in our oven.)
Let cool and enjoy!
