From the Master Board

  • June 2026

This year has been like no other in recent history … there is incredible change occurring in Country Creek as well as the Village of Estero. You can take a drive outside of VCC, around the Village of Estero to see the new developments—both residential and commercial. The corner of Sandy Lane and Corkscrew … along Via Coconut between Corkscrew and Williams Road …Three Oaks and Coconut Road – these are but a few of the developments occurring near VCC. The Estero Sports Park on Williams Road, adjacent to Via Coconut, is coming along as well. All this development around VCC, coupled with a restored clubhouse, will ensure the value of your property will increase as growth of the Village of Estero continues.

The same can be said for the confines of Country Creek. Improvements to the common areas have taken place over the past months. Most recently, new plantings have been added at the front entrance–inside and out. Follow Country Creek Drive to the clubhouse where one will see the temporary facilities for the administrative offices, pro shop, kitchen, and dining. These facilities are open for members via a regular schedule. This temporary situation has not hindered the opportunity for members to enjoy the amenities; golf, special events, and summertime specials. Back this year, members can enjoy a nice lunch after a round of golf at a special price. The menu for this option contains many of the favorites of VCC members. Please note, the golf course will be closed July 20–August 3 and again September 14–21. This time is needed to conduct extensive maintenance on the golf course to ensure the best conditions possible for the middle of season. Additionally, VCC will again be the site for the Suncoast Junior Tour and the South Florida PGA. These events will take place on Mondays, June 22and June 29, respectfully. Please watch your inbox for emails or contact the administrative office, 239-947-2050 or Pro Shop, 239-947-3840 for more information about community events and tournaments.

The Clubhouse demolition began on April 13. Since then, the upper and lower levels have been cleared, framing has begun, and HVAC has been updated. Thanks to our project manager Roger Harper, Garrett Construction, and the team they have assembled, supplies are ordered in a timely manner to take advantage of cost-saving opportunities.

Hopefully by now, you’ve seen photos of the clubhouse restoration project. It’s important to note that before the spaces in the clubhouse can be restored, the space must be cleared to adapt to the updated design and layout. You may also see the project photo collection on the community channel on Hotwire. You may access the community channel via your Fision/Hotwire remote. Simply, click on my community, then scroll down the menu on the left to Clubhouse Project to view the slides. They will advance automatically. The first slide is a recap of the goals for the clubhouse project. The subsequent slides will reveal the photos taken to date. Finally, weekly reports will continue each Tuesday. If you wish to review the catalog of Tuesday Reports, you will find them on the VCC website under Major Projects or click on this link – scroll down to the Tuesday Update Reports.
