The Village of Estero is planning a new community-focused Sports & Recreation Park near Estero High School, at the intersection of Williams Road and Via Coconut. Phase 1 is expected to open in fall 2026.
The goal of the park is simple: to create a centrally located space for outdoor activity, fitness, and community gatherings. The park will include a mix of amenities such as pickleball and tennis courts, walking and fitness areas, open green space, and gathering areas for community activities.
Future phases are also expected to include family-oriented amenities such as bowling, miniature golf, and arcade-style entertainment.
Why This Matters to Our Community
For many of us, staying active and enjoying the outdoors is an important part of daily life. This new park will provide:
• Additional places to walk, exercise, and enjoy nature
• More court availability for popular activities like pickleball and tennis
• A convenient destination for visiting family and grandchildren
• Opportunities for community events and programming
Estero Is Partnering with High 5 Entertainment
Rather than fully funding and operating the complex on its own, the Village of Estero has partnered with High 5 Entertainment, a private recreation and entertainment operator. The Village is funding portions of the development, while High 5 will manage and maintain key facilities within the park.
In return, the Village will receive a share of the ongoing revenue. This type of partnership helps reduce costs for taxpayers while still providing high-quality amenities and potential long-term revenue for the community.
Timing
Here is the short-term timing plan for the park.
• February 2026 – Groundbreaking
• November 2026 – PlannedOpeningof High 5 Entertainment
• Ongoing – Phase 2 park and recreation planning/design
The project is part of Estero’s broader effort to keep pace with the area’s continued growth while maintaining a strong quality of life for residents.
