This year the Country Creek Golf Cart Parade was held on Wednesday, December 3. We had 24 or so Creekers in their very creatively decorated carts and costumes, who drove up to the Clubhouse and assembled for the tour throughout our Village. Faith Bannister Bauer, the architect of this newer version of the parade, had the office email a schedule with approximate times the carts would be going down each street. As the parade progressed, it was wonderful to see so many spectators waving and cheering while enjoying their own driveway parties. As a cart rider (thanks to my wonderful neighbors Mary Berzak and Mike Deminsky), I was able to see the numerous homes festively decorated for the season.
Afterward the Clubhouse bar was filled to capacity. Riding and singing carols is a hungry, thirsty business! The parade has shaped up to be one of the favorite holiday annual events here in Country Creek. So, if you have a cart and have not participated yet, start thinking and planning for next year.
