The Memory Class
A group of retirees were having coffee after golf when one of them mentioned that he and his wife had started taking a class to improve their memory.
“Really?” one of his buddies asked. “Does it actually work?”
“Oh, absolutely,” he said. “They teach you all kinds of tricks—word associations, visualization, repetition. It’s made a huge difference. I hardly forget anything anymore.”
His friend was impressed. “That sounds great. What’s the name of the class?”
The man paused for a moment. “You know… it’s named after a flower.”
“A flower?” his friend asked.
“Yeah. It’s red… has thorns… people give them on anniversaries.”
“A rose?” his friend said.
The man’s face lit up. “That’s it!”
Then he turned toward the kitchen and shouted, “Rose! What’s the name of that memory class we’re taking?”
