The Deadheaders celebrated the end of the winter season with a lively golf scramble, which was followed by a pizza and beer party generously hosted by veteran Deadheader Pat Smoyer at her home. Three teams, each consisting of three players, participated in the 2nd annual Deadheaders Golf Tournament. The players shown in the picture (from left to right) are Mary Sue Peterson, Pat Smoyer, BJ Synder, Lisa Springer, Linda Moore, Kathy Schal, Cyndy McDermott and Renee Finn. The winning team of Pat Smoyer, Linda Moore and Lisa Springer walked away with a grand prize consisting of scratch-off Florida lottery tickets; Lisa’s ticket was a $5 winner!
Many Deadheaders are leaving this month to return to their non-Florida homes. However, there is a small group of year-around residents who will continue deadheading activities at VCC during the summer.
