It’s been a busy month. We had the Elmer Rawson Individual Match Play tournament followed up by the MGA Chuck Hunkins League Championship which included two participants having a hole-in-one. The Elmer Rawson was played over a four-week period and consisted of 4 flights, the Blue A, Blue B,
The MGA Chuck Hunkins League Championship was played on March 11th and 13th. Once again we had flights from the Blue, Blue/White and White tees. Paul Schlimm had the low gross score of 120 from the blue tees making him the league champion. Jeff Badman was first low net from the blues with a net score of 114. Dennis Eary at 120 came in second. Low gross from the blue/white tees was Chaudry Naseer at 145. Sam Lewin’s net 126 earned him low net followed by Mark Deery’s 127. John Page had low gross from the white tees with a 140. Jim Frankino had the low net of 116 and Richard Page had second low net with 126. There were also two aces in the tournament. Harry Burton, playing the white tees had a hole in one on the 6th hole from 110 yards with a 7 iron. Garry Kraemer had his on the 11th hole. He was playing the blue tees and he put a 6 hybrid in the hole from 155 yards. Well done gents.







After the second round we had an excellent lunch with a choice of burgers, brats and fried fish supplied by Rafael and his staff.
In closing, we saw Don Polulak pass the gavel to Ray Atherholt as Don finished his term as league president and Ray began his term. Thanks to Don for all the hard work he has put in. We can be sure that Ray will give it his best effort and we will continue to be a great league.
