Welcome 2026! We hope your holidays were everything you hoped for – and more! Your Master Board is excited about the opportunities that lie ahead of VCC this year.
In southwest Florida, there is no shortage of things to do and see. Did you know you can also find plenty to see and do in your own backyard? You can join any one of the groups available at VCC: golf, aqua aerobics, bocce, tennis, cards, mahjong, and corn hole. The VCC website is full of information to help you find opportunities to get connected with your neighbors. Be sure to click on the social group link to learn more about all the opportunities.
TENNIS
Tennis Clinics are offered at VCC on a regular basis. In addition, social tennis is offered throughout the week for men and women. Women gather on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Men gather on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. For more information, please contact the Administrative Office for tennis contacts in the community.
The VCC Ladies’ team is currently undefeated with a record of 4-0, (as of 12/25). They will continue to compete through March. Please check the VCC events calendar to attend matches for women and men to cheer on our teams.
GOLF
VCC has an active and engaged Ladies and Men’s Golf league. If golf is your game, check out their sites for information. The VCCLGA and VCCMGA continue to offer members opportunities to make new friends and build camaraderie. The games offered throughout the season can prove to be challenging and fun.
This year, the VCCLGA charity outing will benefit Partners for Breast Cancer Care, Inc. This Southwest Florida-based charity supplies screenings, diagnosis, and treatment for women and men who are low income, uninsured, and full-time residents of Lee, Hendry, Glades, Collier, and Charlotte counties. Please consider support for this effort with a donation or sponsorship.
Tryouts for the Solar and Ryder Cup tournaments will take place in February. Each year this friendly competition occurs between two teams who represent the Eastern and Western regions of the US and Canada. If you are interested in trying out, please contact the pro shop for more information.
Interested in upping your game? Are golf lessons the way to go? Please contact John Alfuth in the pro shop to schedule your one-on-one time to better golf.
CLUBHOUSE
Rafael Bonilla, our F&B Manager, offers what members can expect in 2026 events.
“The Patio Party continues to be a clear win, with consistently strong engagement and feedback. Our Christmas Dinner delivered outstanding reviews, successfully riding the success of Pasta Night and reinforcing member demand for elevated dining experiences.
In response, we will be continuing the fine-dining theme in January with Prime Rib Night, further strengthening our premium dinner offerings.
Operationally, we are also rolling out a new Lunch and Dinner Menu on January 14, accompanied by the launch of a New Dessert Menu, designed to refresh the program while maintaining familiar favorites.
We’ll kick off the new year on a high note with a Pool Party on January 3, setting the tone for an energetic and engaging start to 2026.”
Many opportunities for community engagement are available at VCC. Please look for email opportunities to get involved. We hope to see you around the neighborhood!
